When did you join OTRS Group and why did you choose us?

I joined OTRS AG in September 2016. Right from the start, I liked the fact that there are flat hierarchies and that you can contribute many of your own ideas. I’m also very excited about working in an international environment.

Why did you become a Marketing Manager and what is special about this job for you?

I also had marketing classes as part of my apprenticeship. That’s why I decided to study Business Administration. I enjoyed marketing from the beginning and was attracted by the fact that you can work both creatively and strategically in marketing.

At OTRS Group, we mainly work from a home office. How do you still manage to maintain a team feeling?

I made sure to have regular virtual meetings with my colleagues, where we not only talk about business-related topics. Just the other day, I started having virtual lunch meetings every two weeks with a new colleague who doesn’t have her own team in her field. Of course, it’s not the same as a face-to-face meeting, but it helps tremendously and is still fun.

What has been the most exciting project you’ve worked on at OTRS Group so far and why did you enjoy working on it?

My current project is indeed the most exciting so far. It’s about how to use communication to build long-term relationships with customers. That means we’re thinking about new communication strategies on top of the existing strategies. This is a very big and extensive project because it will involve many interfaces, but that’s also why it’s so exciting.

Can you tell us three qualities one should have when joining OTRS Group?

Personal initiative, enjoy remote socializing, self-discipline.
