I joined the company in October 2021. Since I had already used OTRS for administration in my previous job and enjoyed working with the tool, I decided to continue on this path.
I’ve always enjoyed working out solutions to complicated problems. The more complex the problem, the more motivated I am to tackle it. The fact that many customers want to present different use cases means you always have to think outside the box and familiarize yourself with new situations.
Apart from our weekly meetings, I also have regular contact with my colleagues in between. Furthermore, our annual offsites and smaller activities help maintain the “we” feeling. But at the end of the day, after talking to customers so much, you don’t always need to talk to your colleagues anymore!
Most of my workdays start at 9 a.m., as that’s usually when workshops with customers begin. The rest of the day varies, since each customer has different requirements. Sometimes I’m lucky and finish early, which is great because otherwise, being really engaged all day can leave you quite exhausted by the end.
One of the most enjoyable projects was being involved in the introduction of SAP at our company. I was responsible for integrating our portal into the SAP system, which gave me a lot of responsibility and the chance to learn a lot. Before this project, I had no experience with SAP or system integration—thankfully, that’s different now!
