June 14, 2010 — OTRS (www.otrs.com), the world’s leading provider of open source Help Desk and ITIL-compatible IT Service Management (ITSM) solutions, today announced the opening of its new headquarters in Leiden, The Netherlands, to serve its expanding presence in the Benelux region. Establishment of OTRS B.V. closely follows the company’s Latin American expansion with a Mexico City headquarters and Jalisco development lab.


“Benelux is a hot market for us with double-digit growth. We saw 4,700 downloads in 2009 and we are well ahead of that pace for 2010,” said André Mindermann, CEO of OTRS. “Our new Leiden headquarters will be a valuable base of support for our growing customer and partner relationships.”

Michiel Beijen is General Manager of OTRS B.V. in The Netherlands. He has 10+ years of experience in IT, of which he spent the last 6 years implementing ITIL based IT Service Management solutions. Before joining OTRS, Michiel worked as a BMC Remedy ITSM consultant for several Enterprise customers in Europe. He joined OTRS because he saw the attractiveness of the product offering for customers. He is proficient both at a technical as well as on a functional level.
