I started with OTRS Group in mid-March 2022, two years post-graduation from my university. OTRS Group got my attention with its engaging interview process. Once I started talking to people the conversations were more about my interests/wants for my next role, I was hooked, I wanted this job.
With my beginner-level marketing background, I was searching for mentors to learn from. Working within an international team I have gained many different perspectives on working in business, this culture promotes everyone to express their own ideas. Being a “Junior” at OTRS Group I get to initiate my own ideas and challenge myself daily.
This is my first work-from-home role, and it was a large adjustment. My management team is the reason we stay a team, they encourage transparency and agile work. Almost all my tasks are team-focused, so I constantly interact with coworkers through chat or video calls. As a team, we take turns hosting virtual team events – like cooking, cocktail hour, or fun games!
My days are always different. My management team encourages us to work in whatever way makes us comfortable, I’m typically on the move from my home or locally shared office. Workwise I enjoy the GoToMeeting collaboration meetings and the ability to swap between creative and research work daily.
Implementing my idea of “Welcome Boxes” for new customers of OTRS Group was one of my favorite projects so far. As a young professional it was exciting to present my first idea to the team and watch it come to life!
