When did you join OTRS Group, and why did you choose us?
I joined OTRS Group in September 2020, when I saw a job hiring from an IT company I quickly applied as Technology affects almost every aspect of our life. OTRS has future growth prospects as an IT company and is a multinational company. It was great that I have given the job offer.
Why did you become a Manager Finance & Operations APAC and what is special about this job for you?
I worked in the accounting/finance field for the past 18 years. I believe with this experience and expertise I could make a valuable contribution to OTRS. Other than finance work, I chanced upon sales and marketing work which enable me to understand our products better.
At OTRS Group we mainly work from home office, how do you still manage to maintain a team feeling?
I do like the concept of working from home and the flexibility of working hours as it saves a lot of time on traveling and in fact, I have more quality and efficient work as more time is spent on work.
For APAC, colleagues meet up once every 2-3 months and we contact each other almost every day during work. For the worldwide Finance team, we have a team call twice a month to update/exchange news from the subsidiaries. This is a very good example of the team feeling as we are from different countries with different timing.
Can you tell us three qualities one should have when joining OTRS Group?
Be independent and self-motivative, while planning your own time to complete your task. Since most of the time you will be working from home.
Be open to new challenges and ideas where you can improve your knowledge and expertise.
Communicate positively as your colleagues are from different countries with different cultures.
Be honest! What can we do better or what do you wish for the future?
It is so glad that SAP has been implemented and go live in 2023! I sincerely hope that APAC can use the bookkeeping and finance module in SAP soon!
