Cupertino, February 24, 2021 – OTRS Group is taking immediate advantage of the innovative power of its OTRS solution by discontinuing the ((OTRS)) Community Edition until further notice.

Cupertino, February 24, 2021 – OTRS Group is taking immediate advantage of the innovative power of its OTRS solution by discontinuing the ((OTRS)) Community Edition until further notice. This year there are already no further security updates for OTRS 6 and ((OTRS)) Community Edition 6 as the versions have reached “end of life” at the end of March 2020. This is a logical next development step in a change process that OTRS AG initiated several years ago. At that time, a focus on the fully managed version OTRS was undertaken.

“We feel an obligation to our customers to ensure constant innovation as part of our solution management,” says André Mindermann, CEO of OTRS AG. “The discontinuation of the Community Edition was a necessary consequence of this and enables us to continuously develop OTRS in the interest of our customers and to offer them a solution with a high degree of innovation at all times. Security and smooth operation are our top priorities. So far, we have received a lot of positive feedback on this decision.”
