Manager Finance & Administration

When did you join OTRS Group, and why did you choose us?

I joined OTRS Group in October 2012. I was in graduate school and after a few internships felt ready to enter the corporate world. Upon interviewing I found everyone to be incredibly personable which encouraged me to keep moving forward.


Why did you become a Manager Finance & Administration and what is special about this job for you?

I don’t feel as though I “chose” my current position so much as it became a natural progression aligning both my personal goals and OTRS’ needs into one. I feel lucky to work with a company that values employee satisfaction and actively works to achieve that. I find the people I work with to be the most special aspect of my job – we really do make a great team.


At OTRS Group we mainly work from home office, how do you still manage to maintain a team feeling?

We’ve taken a lot of steps in the past few years to work on team building, both on the finance team and with other departments. The finance team has such great communication that gathering and implementing ideas has been relatively smooth – that goes back to working with incredible people!

Of course, we have the usual video calls, but we really make it a point to work together virtually via Miro and TickTick and make use of sparring partners for brainstorming. We even host virtual holiday parties!


What would you recommend to applicants who want to apply for a job at OTRS Group?

Be open, be honest, be yourself! OTRS is full of remarkable, welcoming people. I know it sounds cliché, but it’s true. Spruce up your resume and send in your application!
