I joined in February 2022 as a working student. Right after I read my job description, I knew that this was what I want to do. I was also impressed by the inclusiveness, freedom, and understanding as well as the support offered by the company during my studies, which no other job offer I got had proposed. All of this and my team’s unconditional support led to my decision, and I became a full-time employee for OTRS Group as a Jr. Strategic Finance Manager in the Finance Department. Nowadays, I am extremely glad and thankful to be part of OTRS Group.
I am constantly challenged by new strategic development and international management topics. I learn and drive changes in the constantly changing unpredictable business environment of today. I work with our colleagues from around the globe and am responsible for improving and developing our business internationally, therefore I am excited every day to be a part of the Finance Management team.
OTRS Group is an IT company whose software power and value are to connect businesses with their customers, so I can assure you that during my time with the company, although not being able to meet all my colleagues in person, I have never felt alone, left out, or unaware of whom to contact. Ever since I joined, I have seen my entire team in person just once for five days during our offsite in the Netherlands, but this has never been a challenge for us, because we have great meetings program and regular direct exchange.
I do not really have a typical day, all my days as part of the Finance Management Team are different, and to be honest, I am more than happy with this fact, because I am constantly getting new challenges and new tasks. The only fixed typical thing are morning calls with my team which are rather more like a daily scrum. Having a typical day means I have done something wrong, because the world nowadays is changing, and it is important that as a Junior I am open to learning and adapting to all upcoming obstacles.
I believe all three of these go together, and they are very important to drive the success of a person within such a freedom-oriented organization:
