What motivated you to pursue a leadership or management role (in the IT industry)?

Two decades ago, amid the digitalization wave, I saw the transformative power of modernizing organizations through market-ready applications. Motivated to be a technology ‚provider‘, I strategized to help multiple companies scale their business and leverage the changing landscapes of technology.

What challenges have you faced as a woman in a leadership position in the IT sector and how did you navigated them?

In the APAC region, the IT industry sees a gender gap, with women making up less than 40% of the workforce. There’s a perception that men are more tech-savvy. But for me, it’s not about gender—it’s about knowledge and passion for the industry. Together, we’re all on a journey towards a better world with technology.

What advice would you give to young women aiming for a leadership position in the IT sector?

Knowing your true purpose and what drives you is the ultimate motivator. Integrity in work ethic, ongoing learning in people management, and staying ahead in IT are crucial. Great leaders groom their team to become the next generation of leaders.
